Upon graduating high school in Hastings, NE, I attended the Texas Institute of Jewelry and Technology in Paris, TX. This is where I received my Goldsmith and Gemology education. After working as a professionally trained goldsmith for over 20 years I recently decided to begin working for myself. I mainly exhibit Sterling Silver, Copper and Brass pieces. Recently becoming a member of Indiana Artisan has been a fantastic boost and has made me feel more connected to Indiana and the people who love my work. I am influenced heavily by the music I listen to in my shop, as well as custom ideas from people I meet at art shows. I have been working with the Steampunk genre, upcycling old watch parts; this medium has opened up a new avenue of creativity. I personally strip each and every watch, no mass produced parts are used, ever. All of my items are made through lost wax or lost object casting, with either a vacuum or centrifugal caster, or are hand fabricated. I upcycle gemstones as well as metal and pride myself on creating quality custom items while maintaining a very low overhead.
